Introduction
Good manufacturing practices (GMP) labs of AHF is established in AIG Hospitals as per Schedule M norms of CDSCO in 2019 with Biosafety level II standards with an area of 2250.89 Sqft for supporting the cell therapy studies. The facility is built following the GMP norms for Stem cell and Cell based Products (SCCP) and received Form CT 11 for IND “Autologous Ex-vivo Cultured Bone marrow derived Mesenchymal stem cells” and “Ex-vivo Cultured Umbilical Cord derived Mesenchymal stem cells” and given permission to manufacture New drug for examination, test and analysis separately. GMP lab is involved in the large scale manufacturing of Clinical-grade mesenchymal stem cells from various sources like Umbilical Cord tissue, Bone marrow, Adipose tissue. Cells differentiated from MScs will be used for therapeutic purposes. Also, the manufactured cells are tested for stability, sterility, and their characteristic phenotype and karyotype as per the CDSCO regulatory requirements.
Flow Cytometry lab has advanced flow cytometry equipment BD FACSLyric (3 lasers) and BD FACS Aria Fusion (4 lasers) for sample processing, acquisition, and data analysis at all stages of investigative research, to preclinical GMP and finally in support of clinical trials. We also perform immunophenotyping, functional analysis, DNA ploidy, Cytokine profiles and other flow cytometry based clinical assays with Multicolour Flow Cytometry analysis. We also do Enumeration of Circulating Tumour Cells (CTCs) using MACS (Magnetic-Activated Cell Sorting) and characterized them using flow cytometry in various cancer samples to study the tumor biology and treatment response.

Dr Shashidhar is Highly experienced scientist with over 24 years in the R&D sector. With more than a decade dedicated to roles as a Product Specialist and in Clinical Operations and Management with a proven track record of excellence in these areas. Additionally, has accumulated 15+ years of specialized expertise in Stem Cell Laboratory work, demonstrating a deep commitment to advancing research and development in this critical field. Has immense experience in GMP Stem cell laboratory, Flow cytometry applications, Point of care Clinical services to the patients, Developed Quality Assurance and Control parameters of GMP cellular based products for clinical applications, GMP Regulatory approvals from State and Central authorities. Presently working in Asian Healthcare Foundation AIG Hospitals as Scientist Incharge, GMP and flowcytometry labs. Obtained PhD Biochemistry from Osmania University and worked at numerous positions like DBT Postdoctoral Fellow (Government of India) for two years at NIN, Hyderabad, Post-Doctoral Associate for three years at Diabetes Research Institute, Human cGMP cell processing Facility, University of Miami, USA. Laboratory In-charge Max Research Centre, Max Hospital, Gurgaon and Founder Director for Cytocare Technologies Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad and has experience in Clinical Operations, clinical services in Regenerative Medicine using Point of Care devices, and established Blood banks, BMT facilities, Cord Blood Bank in India for six years.
